When I see the rules at spawn, one of the punishments is being jailed. What happens when you use the jail command? What happens to the punished player?

Well when you use the jail command, it will teleport someone to jail.
Being the one sent to jail, you will instantly teleport to the jail of the op's choice. only jail i know is "pinkroom"
then you will teleport to you spot where you were before when you are unjailed or your time is up.
you cant use /back to get to it. cause the jail doesnt register as a warp so you cant do /back

The punishment is that jailed players can't edit blocks or use many commands. Even if they somehow get out of the actual "jail", they are still under the influence of the jail command.
