Are We in Need of a New Spawn? - Indrae - 03-05-2012
A player's first impression of a new server is, for obvious reasons, the spawn area. Now, don't get me wrong, the current spawn accomplishes what it sets out to do very well. Our server is changing though. New faces are joining the crowd and the projects being undertaken are growing more ambitious, but our spawn is still relatively simple and plain. That is why I would like to ask permission to undertake the construction of a new spawn. My goal would be to create a final product that is memorable, and that makes people actually want to go back to it.

Well, Zanax was working on a new spawn. Unfortunatly he hasnt been on in a while. Maybe we could have a few people finish it?

Yeah fire, that was what he said...
I think it was generally that he couldn't work on it anymore, but any other OPs are free to finish it off with signs etc.
As for what you were saying about being memorable Ind, check out Zanax's one. XP
I don't really know the warp... so Clown might need to say, but it's generally just 1 island, with water all the way around. It has about 5 buildings inside what looks like a castle. Four of the buildings have lists of rules/ information, and is dedicated to a specific part of the rules (e.g. ranks, helpful warps and plugins etc), and after they've read them, they go into the 5th building, then underground to answer a set of questions via a redstone combination lock. If they get it right, they pass through, if not, they have to re-read the signs and check again. =P
I think that generally only the important rules that don't really change are set as questions, but either way, it's quite interesting... just needs finishing off.
