Server Rules - The Leadership Team - 03-21-2015
Server Rules
Rule #1 - No Griefing
Griefing is the removal or addition of blocks/items from someone else's build and can also include:
* Flooding with lava or water
* Leaving signs
* Locking other peoples' doors
* Removing items from frames or armor stands
* Killing someone's animals/pets.
As a sign of respect to players around us, please do not build within 10 blocks of somebody else's things.
Rule #2: No Profane comments, skins, or actions. No curse words, or curse word abbreviations
Profane in this context means things generally accepted as offensive to certain groups of people. We have many people from many different countries play on this server, and thus need to be considerate to these people by refraining from some obvious and some not so obvious phrases. We strive to be family friendly, thus curses and their abbreviations are the most heavily stressed. Inappropriate skins will be asked to be replaced, such as ones depicting naked or near naked people. This rule applies to builds and words on signs as well.
Rule #3: No Cheating of Any Kind
This rule was made to prevent unfair advantages. We do not allow the use of any mods that give you an in-game advantage, including:
* X-ray mods, x-ray texture packs, and ore finders
* Fly/Speed/PvP hacks
* Inventory/Item hacks
Rule #4: Do not spam, spam using caps, or yell at others by using caps
While an occasional word in capitals might be tolerated, full sentences or repeated use of capitals will be considered spam. Spam can also include, but is not limited to:
* Repeated questions or sentences over and over
* Splitting short sentences into several lines
* Excessive punctuation!!!!!!! or letterssssssssssss
Rule #5: Do not Advertise Other Servers
Do not use chat or use private messages to advertise or talk about other servers. Also please do not advertise CFEW on other servers without that server's permission.
Rule #6: Respect the staff and other players
This simply means no insults, bullying or arguing. Please respect the decisions of our staff. If a staff member asks you to do something please do not argue, remember they are only trying to enforce the server rules, which are intended to keep our server friendly and appropriate.
This also includes no political or religious debates. We have people from all cultures and religions and we need to respect people's rights, opinions and heritage.
Please respect the decision by other players to not partake in PvP or allow you into their homes and don't harrass them.
Rule #7: Have Fun!
If you're angry or frustrated while playing a game, you probably need to change something about your expectations of that game or how you play it. Talk with an OP about players making gameplay unbearable, perhaps we can help. Please refrain from causing drama so others can have fun as well.
Penalties
Penalties for rule breaking include kick, mute, jail, temp-ban or ban depending on the severity and number of violations/repeat behaviour. Our staff have guidelines to follow in regards to dealing with rule breakers and conflicts so please respect their decisions. We have a team of staff (Ban Review Team) who will look into the situation further and get back to you asap.

Banned/Restricted Items
Some things are restricted or banned if they can cause harm to builds or lag the server. Here is our current list of restricted/banned items:
1. No redstone that doesn't have an on/off switch. Any redstone running will be removed by staff.
2. No flying machines
3. No AFK farms.
4. No iron farms allowed.
5. TNT is disabled.
6. Maximum of 5 beacons per plot or zone.
7. Nether portals are disabled.
8. Only use ALTS with permission from admins.
