Red Define the Rule for "Caps" - litsas - 01-12-2012

Hey guys, i think we need to re define this rule, as too many players are saying "Caps" over the stupidest things. I reckon that if the caps are not harming or not overly used then it should be alight. But if they are used to directly toward another person that, that person could be harmed or offended, that perhaps is where the rule should apply... thoughts?

I think the "caps" thing has evolved to a server inside joke. People don't really get punished if they say a few words or so in caps. But it would help enforce a few people from blatantly bashing the caps lock button to the nether realm.

Whenever I said something in caps, I did it as a joke. (I wasn't even aware of the rule at first) Never meant to be an idiot, only to have a little fun, really. I agree that the rule needs a little more outlining.

I don't think it's exactly a rule to not use capitals, it's just that players prefer others not to use it in anger, or just all the time. It seems obnoxious and disrespectful, and we all know that to "respect" each other is quite a big rule on this server in one way or another.
Really, I don't think there should be a rule against capitals on the whole, but really just to redefine the rules on respect, e.g. "please respect other people's wishes, including to not be shouted at" etc. =P

Well, not that it needs to be put so bluntly in writing, but you know what I mean.

I agree with James. By not using caps it is basically to show respect and to show self-control.
Though caps should be allowed for jokes and such, not completely prohibited.
@litsas,
