Hmm... maybe I didn't exaggerate enough. Make that 30 or so. I'll add some extra measures though that might make spam bot registration slightly harder.

What we need is some forum mods to just clean out all the spammers off the member list.

@Blue - Yes we do. Who are our current forum mods? Fug, who else.... Do we need another forum mod (Admins/OPs?). I'd be happy to clean them off, but I have so much going on in the server and with server files atm.
@Box - yes that's nice too. You basically need to validate your account.
@BC - Is there a mod or module that would add this feature to 'new accounts'?

IIRC, the forum mods are me, Indrae, EP, fire, james, lord, and maybe someone else. Not sure if another mod would help, though.

It takes no effort to ban the spam bots and remove their posts. It is mostly a matter of just preventing them from being able to post.

@Fug - Thanks for the update. I'll ask an Admin to group msg the forum mods and see who can help lessen this forum spam mess. Once we clean all the spam accounts up, perhaps we could do a 'validate' thing for new accounts. It's another hurdle for new forum visitors, but if they are legit, they can validate it via an email link. Fug would you be willing to help clean up some of these spam accounts off and on if we can get other forum mods to help?
@Admins - If other mods don't offer help to clean up spam accounts, please review who is active and wants to be a forum mod. Consider 'blue' and I'm sure he could put some of this enthusiasm to use helping clean up these spam accounts. What do you say? Thanks!
@Indrae - Yes it's easy to ban and remove their post. The complaint is under 'members list' there are so many obvious 'spam accounts' that are banned but not removed. Should we see which active forum mods can help clean this list up or even give blue a go at this?

Looking through the member list, I do not see a way to actually remove accounts. I believe only clown and Black can do that.

I don't think I can delete user accounts, so unless you want me to do something else, I can't help. Either that, or I can delete users, but I don't know how. In which case, could an admin show me how to?
