Yet another Snapshot has been released. As they told us this update is mainly focused on bugfixes.
Snapshotversion: 17w17b
- Illusioner's difficulty has been tweaked again (Yup, he was still too difficult.)
- Fixed sounds for Illusioner and noteblocks
- Bugfixes
I expect this update to be released very soon! I'll let you guys know when they finally plan on releasing it.

Another snapshot has been released. It's focus is around Advancements this time.
Snapshotversion: 17w18a
- New advancements added for taming and breeding animals
- Fixed Narrator
- Added announcements to chat when someone achieves an Advancement
- Added a new Gamerule "AnnounceAdvancements" default is set to true (Still no 1.8 combat gamerule..)
- New reload command added
- Bugfixes

Hey guys i'm back with some more 1.12 news!
Minecraft pre release 1.12 is released about 3 days ago (Thanks guys..) so 1.12 has to be really close!
They added more advancements
Also, more bugfixes! here are a few you might like:
- Can't rename stacked items
- Anvil outputs only 1 item when renaming
- Old beds are invisible (These are beds before the new snapshot.)
- Glass panes & iron bars no longer connect to glass
- Snow layers on barriers
Question: When do you think that 1.12 is going to be released?

Haven't been saying much about the pre-releases because theyre getting released by storm. I expect 1.12 to be released before June.
We're currently on 1.12 pre-release 5.
I added some highlights from the pre-releases which might be handy or interesting for you guys.
- Parrots now spawn in Jungle biomes that are generated before 1.12
- Parrots now eat seeds and you have to tame it with it instead of cookies
- More advancements added
- New keybinding added for opening advancements menu (default L key)
some bugfixes:
- Sometimes blocks from creative inventory can't be placed or dropped
- Beds don't appear colored on maps
- Fences and walls connect to melons, pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns
- Other sneaking players appear lower than you in multiplayer
- "Server saving bugfixes" (Pretty much everything that caused a server to crash.)
- Feeding Parrots cookies shows "fell out of world" death message
- Bugs that caused the game to crash
Also, it appears that a player gets a "Reward" once completing an advancement. I don't know what they get and if can be customized.

Minecraft pre-release 6 has been released! (please let this be the last one..)
- Recipe book&Creative inv search optimized, especially when using mods
- Chunkloading optimized
- Ability to see credits when clicking the text in the title screen
Technical:
- Skipped functions is now considered a failure
- tab-completing command names in commandblocks will no longer add a / prefix
Some bugfixes:
- Glass panes,iron bars and fences connect to barriers
- Parrots dismount when the Y coordinate decreases
- Survival tutorial steps shown in creative
- Extreme lag on Multiplayer server
- Pets teleport onto Magma blocks
- Parrots lose their name tag upon dismounting a player's shoulder

Sounds like crap
