Problem with the new hoster - buubi - 07-29-2018 Hello people of the internet (I mean CFEW), Last time I played (Thursday) everything was okay. Now I wanted to play again, and I get kicked by the server. Error message is the following: Quote:Internal Exception: java.io.IOException: An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote hostafter around 5-30 seconds playing on CFEW. Things I also noticed while playing (until the kick occures)
After reconnecting I did /home and noticed chests and block drops didn't work. Got kicked again. I can enter warp commands, which teleport me to the entered warp after the next reconnect. kicking occurs on CW and MW chunks get loaded very very slowly, I see them pop up one after another every 5 seconds or so things I tried:
from home (I am connecting from Europe, Germany): ping to cfew.us: ~250ms ping to join.cfew.us: no response. (aborted after a minute) from an US vps (digital ocean NYC): ping to cfew.us: ~97ms ping to join.cfew.us: no response. (aborted after a minute) (the server could block ping packets though) my internet connections speed is as fast (or slow) as always. Pings are around 10% higher (don't ask me why though) my ping was (according to the ingame tab list) 135ms before. Now I don't know my ingame ping (obviously) From my end it looks like I connect to the server with an analogue modem. I hope it is just some setting which got changed, or anything similiar. PS: why isn't there a thread about the change of the hoster? Thanks in advance for sorting this out, buubi RE: Problem with the new hoster - Johngt - 07-29-2018 Try joining with another computer or on another network than your home network, or both at the same time. Sounds like the problem is most likely on your end. The host was changed months ago so that's not a likely cause in this case. RE: Problem with the new hoster - Firablitz - 07-30-2018 Firewall can also cause the router/modem not to connect. You should also check that. RE: Problem with the new hoster - buubi - 08-01-2018 Thing was, it did connect, just superduper slow. But it seems my ISP did reroute US traffic in a very inefficient way, and fixed it after two days. So this issue is resolved, and the topic can be closed |
