The most memorable and most popular build on the CFEW server is without a doubt Rosecastle. It is a symbol of what CFEW can do; a grand community build that was built and completed around the Beta stage of Minecraft.
This build, "rosecastle", was built for fishy's IRL wife named Rosemond(in game). Every year for holidays, rosecastle is dressed-up for the occasion by a few members of the server. All of these members are volunteers, and put forth the most effort they can muster for the build.
Around Christmas of 2011, I asked Clownfish if I could take over the building of Rosecastle, just for holidays. He gladly granted me access to this beautiful build, and I would do my best (not always the most impressive) to make the castle pretty for Christmas. My work was a positive effort, according to Fishy, so he let me do a little more. I "decked the halls", quite literally, with some new blocks that were added to the game at that time. That impressed fishy even more. With each block I placed (or replaced), fishy was more and more impressed, so he granted me the role of Head Builder at Rosecastle.
With the new map coming up, the terrain generation will be a lot different. Large mountains, caverns, deserts, actual minecraft. I would like to build a new Rosecastle in the new map, with help from CFEW, of course. I will not build it myself, but players in the community who show true effort and commitment will be allowed to help build CFEW's newest and most spectacular jewel!
A little bit of info about Rosecastle: It was designed and modeled after Searles Castle, Great Barrington, Massachusetts USA. Look it up on google, because we will model it even closer to the actual location.
Other than that, I just need to know who is interested in this build! Construction will begin once I get info on the new map, and get a location figured out!
