John has provided us with the best solution to this problem, no need to discuss more.

I don't have much time to write a post right now, but here are some quick points:

1) I think having SW 'layered' is a great thing.  It mimics irl settlements, where people branch out from established cities to form new ones.

2) Let's have roads outside the new SW spawn this time.  The current world spawn is surrounded by desert and builds scattered about... it'd be nice to have a central city.

2) If original SW is scrapped (which would make me sad), I think it'd be better to have a conversation on how we can combine MW and SW to create a single world.  Having our small community split between two non-creative building worlds is counterproductive imo.  This might be a discussion we need to have anyway.

How does making a new area leave the old already populated areas empty? There are already builds there sillies.

Splitting SW in 2 worlds means more work doing some things. Say pvp weekends, now you have to make sure you turn it on and off in both of the worlds. Economy is a quick fix, but you would probably wanna move all official builds to the new world, meaning you might have to redo all the adminshops and shops within the mall probably. Because I don't think shops transfer in WE. But I suppose if the new part was gonna have a new spawn some of those things would already need doing.

The old SW has 4 years of history in it, I don't think we could ever remove it

I don't imply whatsoever we remove SW, I'm not sure how that was thought of what I said. I think it would probably break my heart if we did.. I don't think that the PVP weekend is a big deal, it's just /pvpon, and it's honestly not a hassle to just warp between worlds.
I do agree that we should make roads along SW, and connect towns and other important places i.e. biomes etc.
My one concern though is that we expanded SW not long ago. If mojang keeps making updates for biomes and stuff, that's going to become a problem for us, since original SW will take so much space and possibly not grant us enough space for a new SW.
Otherwise, I think that expanding SW is fine, and we still have at least a month to decide.
