Minecraft 1.12 news!

The long awaited snapshot is here!!
The 1.12 update is called "World of Color update"
Snapshotversion: 17w13a

- New mob: Parrot!

They can copy sounds from hostile mobs
and they drop feathers if they die

- Added: Crafting guide!
Say goodbye to Minecraft wiki!

- Added: Narrator!
Everything that appears in chat will be like Text to speech. You can toggle it using crtl+b

- Bugfixes

There are still more things to explore however i haven't exactly found them yet this snapshot is only 1 hour out while writing this xD..i will update this post ASAP!

If you wish to play the snapshot for yourself:


1. Go into launch options
2. Select "add new" or select an already existing one
3. Select version "latest snapshot" and save (Don't forget to name it!)
4. Go back to "news" and click on the icon next to play
5. Select the version with the latest snapshot
6. Click on play

(If you've already done this before, you only have to do step 5 since the latest snapshot will update automatically!)

The release of 1.12 is getting closer as we reach a new snapshot.
Snapshotversion: 17w14a

- Crafting guide has slightly changed
- Achievements are gone and now they're replaced with Advancements (There are more Advancements and they're separated in tabs)
- You can change the behavior of your parrot. If you now right click on it, it will either sit down and stay on it's spot, or will start flying around
- There's a new variant that's based on a Cockatoo
- A parrot will now sit on your shoulder when you just walk at it while the parrot is flying around
- Parrots will start dancing and change colors...? once there's a sound playing with the noteblock (I'm not kidding..)
- Bugfixes

They spawn in the Jungle, and you can tame them with cookies.

- Dyed beds are added to the game
- Beds will bounce now, and will reduce falldamage
- There's a new tab when you're in creative mode. Which is saved toolbars
- Players shouldn't getting random kick from servers anymore
- Recipe book and advancements are fixed so they work fine with multiplayer as well
- More Recipe book fixes
- There's now a notification in top right screen when narrator is active (ctrl+b)
- New option to toggle the narrator between: off,chat&system,chat only and system only
- Stairs are a bit more solid now, Snow, glass and torches can connect to them now with ease
- Book recipe is reintroduced
- Notification in up right corner when you unlock a crafting recipe instead of getting a notification in chat
- Advancements will appear in up right corner when you complete an advancements
- More advancements are added
- Loads of bugfixes

What would be funny is if to tame the parrots you needed to get crackers and to get crackers you needed to farm (idk some new food item) which leads to them adding in a new food item (there it is again, weird) that would add more diversity to the food types you could grow.
