Massive temp server grief

fire, I dont think this is such a big deal. Its temporary anyways. Its no big deal. If it was, just get a bukkit beta 1.2.3 server and have LB.

Blue, though it is a temp server for 1.2 griefing rules still apply. If we go by the no rules and grief all you want stuff, it's almost guaranteed that the main server will get griefed.

Yeah, my house got lava'd too. But then again, blue is right. It is free for all; it's not a permanent map, and pvp is on anyway, so it's most likely going to be allowed. Why does that mean the main server will be griefed? There's protection and records, and with vanilla you don't have that. The test server is called test/temp for a reason...

It's still not really good practice to just allow players to go around griefing. It promotes the idea of it happening in the main server, and frankly it's still a pain.

Although the 1.0 world is gonna be free for all, which will allow griefing.
