I wouldnt think this is a ban report so i put it here anyway. I logged in and saw i ended up at blueapplepiedudes shop and what was there was a duping machine he made that used to work in 1.8.1. He wasnt trying to test it out becuse otherwise he would have broken it. All ops please tell me if blue should be banned and blue send an appeal if u want thanks. Sorry i couldnt get pics but you first put a portal the water...crafting table
and its made and he did that (dosent work anymore)

i cleared this up with james. i didnt try to dupe diamonds, gold, rare stuff, i just made that when a person got banned for duping. i tried to dupe a snowball. i made this in 1.1 or 1.2.5 so it doesnt even work. please dont ban me. btw, i didnt even have minecraft until 1.0. im pretty sure i shouldnt get banned.

I don't think that really explains why you made it.. And just because it doesn't work doesn't mean it's okay to make it...

@Ind: Checked logs, blue made it after the whole duping glitch was fixed, so even if he tried to use it, it wouldn't have worked.
I think what blue means is "he was curious".
Again though, this is not reason enough to create, and test a duping machine, that in itself can lead to the temptation of actually duping rarer items.
In this case, Blue most likely knew that it did not work. It was after a ban that I carried out (the mentioned player not only attempted duping, but was under suspicion of xray and possibly other mods/ cheats), and I do remember him being around sometime around then. It had been mentioned that it did not work, so from that it "could" be safe to assume blue's intentions "may" have been innocent... But what I will also say, which I even told the player who was banned, is that just because it does not work now, that doesn't really mean it is fine to create this dupe setup. As Blue can tell from this ban report, it can cause troubles, and if it wasn't out of curiosity for making sure of what had already been said, then the only other reason for making it would be to attempt duping, which should be reason enough to ban (or issue a formal warning at the very least, such as this ban report).
Blue, in future, if you intend to create a setup to test it, please request OP permission first, and verify with them... as well as brief them on the setup if they don't already know what to look for. Also, of course, burn any spawned items from it.
We would prefer to be in the loop with things like this; even if it isn't to raise concerns for the server, but rather to satisfy your own curiosity, we would prefer to know. In future, things may not go this way if we find you have created another, different duping setup. Also, whether it is to sate personal curiosity, or to show an OP a problematic, illegal glitch, please remove anything like this after you have done so... to prevent confusion, and also so other players may not copy by using what you have made as an "example".
Lastly, I will just restate the rules on duping on this one... If you have any duped items, whether we know about it or not... please honourably destroy anything you have gained through illegal methods.
I believe all that needs to be said has been. I don't think any further action is required, except for blue to destroy the old dupe setup... just to prevent this from arising again, and also for blue to show he understands everything said... It's a pretty serious thing, we don't want to ban for the wrong reasons...

Blue, please respond to the rest of my post.
You still SHOULD NOT have made the duping station.
I want you to acknowledge this, and let us know that you won't try to recreate a duping setup again.
Otherwise, consequences may be more severe.
