@acid I don't believe he meant a custom rank for each person and only for AW in the first place, just a few minecraft preference related ranks to choose from when you join AW. box cleaned up the rank/permission files alot and now even I could do this work (if I weren't a lazy bum :3). For permissions you could simply copy over the regular AW permissions or make them inherit each other. I do, however, agree with Ind that it doesn't seem worth it for the amount of work it does take, but if an admin is willing then I see no reason to shoot the idea down. You can even give the ranks colors matching the name like light blue for diamond and have hunter all the same color.

@Admins - yea this would be fun experiment and excuse to try the unused 'player right click on sign to pick limited ranks' feature our our Essentials plugin. I think these are command signs. Worth a try. Look up Essentials wiki, then list of permissions and search for 'sign' anytime..

I agree with a few custom ranks in AW only just didn't agree with custom ranks in the main world

Hmm... so is this going ahead?
It sounds like it could be a harmless idea to add a little more fun/ customization to AW... It might be a bit of work, but I don't see any large reason not to do it, apart from having to put in a little extra effort. XP
If this is going ahead, perhaps we could come up with a list of rank titles to implement?
