The 3 day tempbans for both are sufficient. I presume this matter closed unless further disagreement occurs. And James, If I said "You are a ******" to you in the server, it could mean anything. We aren't gestapos, our jobs are not to police others on the server, that's secondary. It's to ensure everyone has fun. If it's done in fun, why are we harping on such trivial matters?
Done in fun? I didn't know that the whole incident here was "done in fun", but my point, which I am not happy with you belittling, is that it can be disrespectful, and rule skirting. It is unpleasant being sworn at, obviously, and yes, even though it can mean anything, you are not taking into account the fact that, as I have already said, the seriousness of each case depends on the context of the situation (the point I was initially trying to convey to Cole and Blue when saying it was a grey area). I'm not saying everytime someone censors something out, or enters something that looks like they could be swearing behind the screen, we should swing or wave around the banhammer. I am simply saying that if it looks like someone has been disrespected, or it seems like someone is doing something like that repeatedly after being told not to, we should consider the situation before taking any actions, even if it's just a chat with the player to ask them to calm down.
You really do seem to read into my posts where I haven't written, Ash... I said nothing about judging harshly, or keeping a tight reign. Only to monitor, and judge the situation before making any decisions on actions to be taken, if they even need to be taken at all. Really, a lot of my posts I've probably left unwritten, since most of it I leave down to common sense... which is quite annoying when you then decide to compare the small snippets of what I've said to something rather tyranous, even if you are only using hyperboles.

You are right, reading into the context of the situation is very important. Thank you for being concerned in these matters James. You are a valuable SuperOP. Reading on the many ideas and opinions in the forums and appeals here. I've seen that you take great pride and importance in this server. Perhaps we could apply moderation on smaller, trivial issues and relax for a bit? I've had several people complain and I am just concerned, that's all.
